Oblivion
nace a principios de 2012 de la mano de miembros de diferentes
bandas, que tienen como objetivo llevar el sonido del hardcore al
siguiente nivel. Con influencias tan diversas y palpables que van des
de el stoner más inspirado en Black Sabbath, hasta el trash de
Metallica, el rock sinfónico de Pink Floyd o el caos de Converge,
siempre pasando por el hardcore en su modalidad más agresiva.
En 2012 lanzan su primera referencia, el EP "Face Reality" en cinta y cd. Este les ayuda a presentar su trabajo por la península e incluso fuera de ella, llevandolos a abrir conciertos para bandas como Parkway Drive, Deez Nuts o Brutality Will Prevail y actuar en salas como Razzmatazz y Bóveda, recibiendo muy buenas críticas por su enérgico y alocado directo.
Después de un par de cambios en las filas y encontrar a los miembros adecuados, Oblivion entra en Bloq Estudis en febrero de 2014 para grabar "No Room For Fools" el primer LP de la banda, que es masterizado por Brad Boatright (Nails, Twitching Tongues, MLIW, Oathbreaker) en Audiosiege Sonic Engineering (Portland, USA). Un disco lleno de rabia, odio, negativismo y soledad, que no se suscribe a ningún género ni etiqueta, y que durante 2014 y 2015 presentaran allá donde les dejen.

Oblivion has taken hardcore to a new level. Formed in early 2012 in Barcelona, within less than two years, the band has released their debut EP “Face Reality”, and has toured around Spain and Europe. The band's negative heavy hardcore with influences that range from the stoner more inspired by Black Sabbath, trash of Metallica, symphonic rock of Pink Floyd or chaos of Converge, provided through the hardcore at its most aggressive mode.
"No Room For Fools" is the debut album of catalan band Oblivion recorded at Bloq Studies (BCN) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Nails, Twitching Tongues, MLIW, Oathbreaker) at Audiosiege Sonic Engineering (Portland, USA).
Edition limited to 500 copies hand numbered, 100 in clear and 400 in black.
